This balanced program helps develop positive character qualities, offers the opportunity to learn new skills and for the therapeutic effect that working with equines has on humans. It strives to meet the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of students in an environment that is safe and supportive. Additionally, the needs of our equine partners are carefully monitored to maintain good mental & physical states.

The goal is to offer the opportunity to learn quality content in horsemanship and equestrian skills in a safe, fun and relaxed atmosphere. Participants will be challenged to try new skills in a supportive environment, but will not be asked to go farther than is deemed safe to do so by the instructor.

Welcome to Burbank Riding Academy! Here is a little bit more about us:

What makes us different from the rest? Here are just a few things~

  • The Right Stuff~So many barns, so many instructors, how do you choose? An accomplished show rider & horse trainer indicates a skilled horseman, however this does not necessarily mean they are a proficient and effective instructor. Teaching in itself is a skill and an art that our instructors have proven that they can do through their certification with the Certified Horsemanship Association. This ensures they know their horsemanship and equestrian theory and area able to teach it to students effectively while maintaining high standards of safety.
  • Safety~Many of our instructors/trainers are certified by industry associations which maintain high safety standards and practices.
  • Standards of Animal Care and Horsemanship~We practice and maintain the standards set forth from the British Horse Society and the United States Pony Club.
  • Great Client Service & Professional Standards~ your time is valuable. You will get prompt answers, return phone calls, emails and NO! your lesson will not be interupted by an instructor on a cell phone or talking to someone besides those involved in the lesson.
  • We are friendly~ We want everyone to have a good time and enjoy themselves no matter what your background or interests are.
  • Instructors are not in the revolving door~ low to no turnover rate. We are here to stay!

    Nice job Kaylee & Lobelia!
